Captain Tom Mikoleski runs the Charter Boat Grand Slam specializes in bait fishing for trophy striped bass. As an Outdoor writer hundreds of his articles have been published in various magazines. In 2013 Captain Tom’s book “Bass Buff-A striper Fishing Obsession Guide” was published and received great reviews from Angler’s. Tom was also featured on Big Water Adventures with Mark Davis an award winning TV show on the Outdoor Channel. On this show Mark Davis landed his biggest striped bass to date, a true cow of 52- pounds, and in conversation with Tom, Mark has stated this show is still in his top 10 shows of all time.

Boating and Sports Afield. A feature writer for Newsday, marketing writer
for Traditions Media, and president of Outdoor Tom Enterprises, Inc, among
other endeavors, he has previously served as managing editor of The Fisherman Magazine, associate editor for On The Water Magazine, Long Island
editor for Coastal Angler Magazine, and as a marketing writer for Animal
Planet’s River Monsters television show.

What started as an inshore light-tackle service more than two decades ago, evolved into a well known “jig-and-pop” tuna outfit. Capt. McMurray doesn’t troll at all, and arguably pioneered the casting top water baits for tuna.

Captain Tony DiLernia has been fishing NY Harbor since the mid-60’s. He earned his Captains license in 1976 and worked the Bluefin Fleet in Freeport, NY from 1976-1996. In 1996 he started ROCKET CHARTERS sailing from the Sky-port Marina at East 23 street NYC focusing on striped bass and bluefish.
